Thanksgiving Meals from the Community

Song: What A Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong

This giving season, something incredible happened in our community. One of our dedicated Common Thread volunteers, Mariah, along with her network of generous helpers, stepped forward in a big way. Together, they represented Common Thread with so much heart and delivered 31 full Thanksgiving dinners to families in our community.

Each dinner was large enough to serve 10 people, meaning more than 300 individuals were nourished this week—not just with food, but with care, dignity, and the reminder that they are not alone.

In a season when so many of us focus on gratitude, we also take time to honor those who continually confront injustice, nurture community care, and show up for one another in meaningful ways. Acts like these don’t just fill tables—they strengthen the fabric of our community and model what collective care truly looks like.

To Mariah, to every volunteer who lifted boxes, organized deliveries, or spread the word, and to everyone who played a part in making this day possible: thank you. Your compassion made a tangible difference for so many families.

We love our community—and moments like this remind us just how powerful we are when we show up for one another.
